QR Generator
Generate QR codes from any text or URL
About QR Generator
Encodes a URL or any single line of text as a QR code that redraws as you type, with a download button that saves it as a PNG of 128, 256 or 512 pixels. Codes are black on white and use error correction level L. Generation happens entirely in your browser, so the text you encode is never sent to a server.

Frequently asked questions
What can a QR code encode?
▾
Any single line of text up to 2,953 bytes, such as URLs, plain text, phone numbers (tel:), email addresses (mailto:) or Wi-Fi credentials (WIFI:). Accented letters and emoji take 2 to 4 bytes each, and the input field is single-line, so multi-line formats like vCard can't be entered.
Which error correction level is used?
▾
Level L, which lets scanners recover about 7% of damaged or hidden data; there is no option to change it. L keeps the code as small and sparse as possible, but it leaves little margin for scratches, smudges or a logo placed over the code.
What size and format is the download?
▾
A square PNG of 128, 256 or 512 pixels with black modules on a white background; SVG export is not available. The image has no quiet zone (white border), so leave some white space around the code when you place it on a colored or busy background.
Can I use the QR code commercially?
▾
Yes. QR codes are an open standard (ISO/IEC 18004). The generated images are yours to use freely without attribution.
