Fake Data
Generate realistic fake data for testing
About Fake Data
Generates 1, 5 or 10 fake records at a time in five categories, Person, Address, Internet, Company and Finance, and shows each record as labeled fields. The Faker library loads on your first click and runs in your browser, and Copy all puts the whole batch on the clipboard as formatted JSON. Useful for seed scripts, test fixtures, form demos and mock API responses.
Category: Generators.
Frequently asked questions
What fields does each category include?
▾
Person has name, email, phone and date of birth; Address has street, city, state, country and ZIP code; Internet has username, email, URL, IP address (IPv4 or IPv6) and password; Company has name, catch phrase, a buzzword in the industry field and website; Finance has account number, IBAN, currency code, amount and credit card number.
Are the credit card numbers and IBANs valid?
▾
Only structurally: card numbers pass the Luhn checksum and IBANs carry correct check digits, so they get through format validation. They are not linked to real accounts and can't be used for payments.
Can I choose a locale or export CSV or SQL?
▾
No. Values always come from Faker's default English locale, with US-style names, phone numbers, states and ZIP codes, and Copy all exports JSON only. For a spreadsheet, paste the JSON into the JSON to CSV tool.
Can I use the generated data in production?
▾
No. It's meant for development, testing and demos only. Emails use real providers such as gmail.com, yahoo.com and hotmail.com, and names or numbers can match real people by chance, so never send messages to these addresses or treat the records as real data.
