Timezone Converter

Convert a date and time across the world's major timezones

About Timezone Converter

Choose an origin time zone and a date and time, and the converter lists the matching local time in 16 major cities, from Los Angeles to Auckland, with the origin city highlighted. Each row shows the weekday, date and 12-hour time, and a single click jumps back to the current moment. Useful for scheduling meetings, deployments or maintenance windows across distributed teams.

Frequently asked questions

Which time zones does the converter show?

▾

Sixteen cities: Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, New York, São Paulo, London, Paris, Cairo, Moscow, Dubai, Mumbai, Bangkok, Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney and Auckland, each mapped to its IANA zone name. The origin can be UTC or any of those cities.

How does daylight saving time affect conversions?

▾

Offsets come from the IANA time zone data built into your browser, so the converter applies the offset each city uses on the selected date, DST included. Changing only the date can therefore shift results by an hour, and times close to a DST switch are worth double-checking.

What is the difference between UTC offset and a time zone?

▾

A UTC offset (e.g., +05:30) is a fixed number. A time zone (e.g., America/New_York) is a named region that may change its offset seasonally for daylight saving time. Use time zone names in code, not fixed offsets.

What is UTC?

▾

Coordinated Universal Time — the primary time standard against which all other time zones are offset. UTC has no daylight saving adjustments. UTC+0 is the same as UTC.
