Frequently asked questions

What factors determine password strength?

Length (most important), character variety (uppercase, lowercase, numbers, symbols), absence of common patterns (keyboard walks, dictionary words), and not appearing in known data breach databases.

What is entropy in password strength?

Entropy measures unpredictability in bits. A password with 60+ bits of entropy is considered strong. Each additional random character from a large charset roughly adds 6 bits of entropy.

Is my password sent to a server?

No. Strength analysis runs entirely in your browser. Your password never leaves your device.
